The Farm

Free to Range



The pigs are reared in an outdoor system and are allowed the freedom to roam, root and wallow, enjoying all the Irish weathers!  
They are fed only certified organic feed with plenty of silage and treats from the farm vegetable patch.

Farming with Nature

The farm has a strong focus on nature, with native hedgerows and trees planted, including nut and fruit trees.  Meadows are allowed to mature naturally to support local wildlife, and some crops are planted specifically for birds and insects.

Welfare



The animals are bred on the farm from robust, outdoor suited sows.  The aim of the system is to produce healthy, happy animals that do not require medication, or any mutilations.  Our pigs are never castrated, and never have their tails docked or teeth clipped.

Organic Eggs

The hens live in a small group, and spend all of their day out in their field, picking at grass and herbs, and looking for insects. They produce lovely brown eggs with a deep coloured yellow yolk, reflecting their natural diet.
